ICAM ASD systems provide very early warning so fire events can be contained and investigated with minimal business disruption. From an aspirated point-in-a box (PIAB) detector to the unique 15-channel addressable detector, ICAM systems excel in area coverage and powerful performance and are suited to a host of applications in the most demanding environments.
ICAM IFT ASDs actively draw air from the protected area through a network of 25-millimeter, rigid pipes perforated with sampling holes along their length. This pneumatic system is powered by a 2,000 Pa aspirator fan that functions in high-airflow areas, air-conditioned environments and clean rooms. These high-sensitivity smoke detectors feature 100 meters of pipe length per inlet and provide area coverage of up to 2,000 square meters.
Other ICAM IFT detectors use unique micro bore technology that can monitor up to 15 individual addressable sampling points, helping to precisely locate the source of a fire. The ICAM IFT’s high-sensitivity laser smoke detector is an instrument-quality nephelometer with absolute calibration.
Extending the Capability of Traditional Smoke Detectors
ICAM IAS detectors transform traditional point detectors into powerful aspirating systems for use in harsh, dusty and inaccessible spaces. These detectors can house virtually any manufacturer’s conventional or analog addressable point (spot) detectors.
If larger area coverage is required, the controller can be equipped with one or two laser point (spot) detectors. Compared to the standard smoke sensitivity of a traditional smoke sensor, the ICAM ILS detector has higher sensitivity and delivers increased area coverage.

ICAM ECO by Xtralis uses an existing ICAM pipe network to actively monitor for gas leaks and continuously ensure air quality. ICAM ECO reliably detects unseen hazards by conditioning or filtering the air to remove moisture, dirt and other particulates.
