Dry Chemical skid units are an effective means of controlling three
dimensional Class B flammable liquid and electrical fires. Dry chemical
will effectively extinguish flowing fuel and gas/liquid pressure fires
where other types of equipment and agents may be ineffective. The dry
chemical is contained within ASME coded pressure vessels with a working
pressure of 210 psi. The dry chemical is expelled by nitrogen cylinders
mounted on the skid unit. The nitrogen is supplied through a
pressure-regulating valve into a manifold and then piped to the dry
chemical storage container. The Standard Dry Chemical Skid is supplied
with either one or two hose reels. Each hose is equipped with 100 feet
of 1 inch hard rubber hose and a nozzle with a ball-type shutoff valve.
Innovative
manufacturing processes have resulted in developments such as our
siliconization process to eliminate caking via moisture absorption and
packing, and our sieve analysis to check for uniform particle size.
Dry chemical is also compatible with foam concentrates to allow for twin agent application. They are manufactured and tested for NFPA 10 and UL 299 dry chemical fire extinguisher equipment compatibility. From refills for the industry's smallest extinguishers to mobile and large fixed installations, Chemetron has the right dry chemical for the job
